Government Urges Passengers To 'Speak Up' To Halt Drink-Drivers

IN A bid to prevent drunk drivers from taking the wheel the Government is encouraging passengers to speak up to help reduce the risk of any serious consequences. 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show Roundup This week saw the start of the Los Angeles Motor Show, so we thought we’d have a quick look at what was on the floor, including some of the stuff we haven’t already looked at. There was the ‘cool in white’ Jaguar stand and the latest Defender DC100 Concept, all prettied up in baby blue. There were Camaros and Mustangs, the new Bentley GTC (but no V8 – that’s for Detroit in January), a hot Beetle R and Volvo’s You Concept that points the way to the next generation of Volvo design.

Nissan has announced it will release a new family of global cars over the next two years with sales of the first variant to start in China in 2006. The Livina Geniss, the name of the Chinese variant, will be the first Nissan car to be released in China ahead of other global markets, and will make its world premier at the Guangzhou International Motor Show later this month. Based on the concept of a luxurious, yet practical vehicle, the model seats up to seven people and accommodates a wide variety of customer needs.
